Connector truth
Capability is a matrix, not a promise.
Platform support depends on the exact account, permission, provider review state, media type, quota, and sometimes the destination’s own product rules. Storycairn exposes that state instead of implying universal publishing.
| State | Meaning | Product behavior |
|---|---|---|
| Available after OAuth | Official path is implemented but exact account authorization remains required. | Show connect and permission details; do not call connected until OAuth succeeds. |
| Review required | Provider approval, app review, direct-post enrollment, or domain verification remains open. | Show the gate and keep publish disabled. |
| Metered | Provider usage can create a real cost. | Require a workspace spend cap and ledger before enabling writes. |
| Manual only | No supported API path is verified for the exact surface. | Offer export/manual handoff, never a fake API success. |
Current sample matrix
Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube are represented as review-gated in the sample. LinkedIn and Pinterest show an available-after-OAuth path. X is metered. These are product capability states, not connected accounts.
